Volunteer work history (unwaged) - (for job/work application purposes)
My other significant ongoing interest is working in a coordinating role with volunteers and community and stake holders, including all levels of Government through volunteer organisations - primarily Coastcare/landcare to date. Involvement in such organisations is an area that I am passionate about and find rewarding. It has honed my communication and organisational skills and given me a different avenue through which to put to good use the skills I have acquired through my employment.
I am keen to continue raising awareness in purposeful and deserving areas, to assist in setting up new initiatives and be invovled in a team that is setting strategic directions to this end; participating in developing programs and fostering positive working conduits and partnerships between groups and ortganisations that can mutually benefit where real help is required and real people or places supported. I also believe that the skills I acquire through this work in turn benefits my approach to design and project management work.
